Banksy. Realismo Capitalista
Banksy has been on the scene since the 1970s, not unlike other modern-day street artists, entrusts his thoughts to art.
But unlike other artists he has never come out of the closet, except for sporadic forays into the most famous museums of the world, such as the Met in New York, the Louvre in Paris and the British Museum in London.
The exhibition Banksy Realismo Capitalista brings together around 100 silkscreen works by the British artist, including the well-known Girl with Balloon, Love Is In the Air, Pulp Fiction, Monkey Queen and Bomb Love. They reflect the social function of art and its power of emotional communication in representing the world in its various forms.
The richly illustrated catalogue, edited by the artist's greatest connoisseurs, features large-format colour images, and it is enriched by works by authors close to Banksy.
