This catalogue features 12 masterpieces coming from the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, including work by Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne, Pierre-August Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Henri Fantin-Latour and one painting from Paul Guigou.
A compelling display of French masterpieces from the 19th Century somehow related to the Impressionism; the Galleria Fiorentina has mutually offered 12 Macchiaioli paintings from its collection, which will be displayed at the Musée de L'orangerie in Paris September 23, January 4, 2014.
The idea is to go beyond the universal admiration for the Impressionists, looking for undiscovered contaminations between the French and the Italian cultures at the time.
