The public, unaware of Puccini's future greatness, applauded warmly, welcoming an artist destined to transform emotions into unforgettable melodies. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis represented Puccini's first successful experience.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn March 1895, he returned to Livorno for the rehearsals of Manon Lescaut, enthusiastically welcomed at the Teatro dei Nuovi Avvalorati, as he began to create melodies destined to captivate. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHis third visit, on 9 August 1897, was marked by the notes of La Bohème, conducted by Vittorio Podesti; there he felt at home, surrounded by the affection of an audience that recognised his genius.
