Firenze Capitale 1865-2015
In order to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Florence as Capital, the Modern Art Gallery of Pitti Palace has chosen an exhibition dedicated to the Gifts and the Collections of the King that, shows many works and artefacts purchased by the King, but also witnesses the presence of the Savoy dynasty in the Pitti Palace.
The exhibition is organized in the rooms of the Gallery usually intended for exhibitions, but goes on throughout the Palace including the Royal Apartments, the venues of the Meridiana, currently home to the Costume Gallery and the rooms of the Duchess of Aosta, that for the occasion have been the subject of a general maintenance.
