Il volume accompagna la mostra “A caccia con Cosimo I”, il cui percorso inizia dall’arazzo che raffigura la caccia al cinghiale con l’archibugio, appartenente alla serie dedicata alle Cacce, tessuta per la Villa medicea di Poggio a Caiano. La presenza dell’arazzo permette di ricordare la vocazione della Villa, quale luogo nel quale praticare la caccia. La Villa medicea di Cerreto Guidi era amata da Cosimo I, dalla figlia Isabella e poi da tutti gli altri componenti della dinastia medicea.
