Adolfo Coppedè. Tradizione locale e respiro internazionale
The exhibition Adolfo Coppedè Tradizione locale e respiro internazionale illustrates the marvellous art of wood and glass carving in which the Coppedè family was a protagonist between the end of the 19th century and the second post-war period, in Florence, in Italy in general and even in Mexico. All this was made possible thanks to the Fondo Adolfo Coppedè kept at the Florence State Archives.
The volume is edited by Chiara Cappuccini who, through preparatory drawings, transparencies, writings and historical photographs, sheds light on the golden age of Art Nouveau and Art Deco in a journey through a Florence that has now disappeared.
The contributions to the book are by, among others, Prof. Mauro Cozzi and art historian Daniele Galleni, an expert on the sector and the Coppedè family.
The pictures in the catalogue are of great interest.
