A new issue of the successful series of Quaderni dell'Opera del Duomo di Siena to give written testimony to the flourishing activities of conferences organized by this institution.

A successful formula has been adopted in recent years, combining the moment of high dissemination with a convivial break, under the coordination of Opera Laboratori.

The essential contributions under the common denominator of the Opera del Duomo investigated religious, historical, literary, urban planning, architectural, restoration and art aspects, the latter being presented in all their forms, from painting to sculpture and the minor arts.

An interdisciplinarity that is clearly evident in the ten articles that make up this volume, which, while testifying to the variety of interests that arouses the Cathedral of Siena, on the other hand, give an account of its international attractiveness: These Quaderni host writings of scholars from three continents.
