Dialoghi tra un sasso, una melagrana e una stella
Sasso (Stone), Melagrana (Pomegranate) and Stella (Star) are united by a deep friendship.
They live the spaces of the Synagogue in Florence and are the main protagonists of this story.
They will guide the reader on a visit to the Synagogue with its museum and garden. They will show us elements of the Jewish culture and recall the building's history with the dramatic events of the Nazi retreat in early August 1944 and the flood of 4 November 1966.
Alongside these characters are little Camilla and a Master with his pupils.
The Synagogue in Florence was inaugurated on 24 October 1882.
It is the place where Jews gather to pray, to study the sacred texts and, above all, to be together. It is an integral part of Florence's history.
With its characteristic copper dome, in dialogue with that of the Duomo, it is a landmark in the city skyline.
