Rondò del gusto

'Rondò del Gusto' is a project born from the shared passion for music and traditional cuisine between the organisers – the author and Dario Paganin. Since 2013, the two have been leading NAYS, a musical group inspired by Mediterranean folk traditions, with original arrangements.

NAYS symbolises travel, cultural exchange and contamination between peoples, as happens in music and cuisine, both authentic expressions of local identities.

The project turned into a book and a record, conceived as an ethno-enogastronomic-musical journey through Italy.

Each geographical area is represented by traditional songs (with original lyrics and translations), musical arrangements, typical recipes and wine pairings, with the addition of QR codes to listen to the songs while reading or tasting them.

The volume includes ten traditional pieces, an original composition (“Rondò del gusto”), a tribute to Caterina Bueno, and sixteen recipes created by chefs inspired by the music. The work celebrates the link between popular music and cuisine, as living and shared expressions of local cultures.
